How to to merge databases :
- Open the destination database (the database into which you want to merge other objects).
- On the External Data tab, click Access in the Import & Link group.
- In the Get External Data dialog box, click Import tables, queries, forms, reports, macros, and modules into the current database.
- Click Browse to locate the source database, and then click OK.
- In the Import Objects dialog box, select the object or objects you want to merge, and then click OK.
- In the Get External Data dialog box, click Close.
How to split a database :
- Close all open database objects.
- On the Database Tools tab, in the Move Data group, click Access Database. If Access displays a security notice that shows the path to the file ACWZTOOL.ACCDE, click Open to proceed and open the Database Splitter dialog box.
- In the Database Splitter dialog box, read through the information provided, and then click Split Database.
- In the Create Back-end Database dialog box, choose a location for the back-end file. By default, Access uses the current database name and adds _be to the end of the file name.
- Click Split, and then click OK to close the message box.
